End of Year Message from Chef Amy Mehrtens, Copper Vine

Dear, Friends

To say the past few years in the hospitality industry have been difficult would be an understatement. But as we reflect on this year and look to next year, things look brighter. One of the bright spots has been and continues to be our important relationship with Liberty’s Kitchen.

A wonderful partner and connector, Liberty’s Kitchen is working to recruit and train young people in their workforce readiness program.

Our community is facing a crisis with young people. Many are experiencing a lack of opportunity and a lack of access. Liberty’s Kitchen is working to bridge the gap between young people and employers. Copper Vine is proud to be an employer partner and supporter of Liberty’s Kitchen.

Your support has been critical too. You’ve had a hand in the success of young people who are working towards a path of self-sufficiency. Your support has provided the tools and materials they need to enter the workforce. You help provide critical wrap-around services to address the barriers these young people face when seeking employment.

As the year comes to an end, here are a few of the young people you have supported in their career goals:

I am inspired by these young people and so many others. With the right support services and systems, they are changing the trajectory of their lives.

I hope you will consider a gift to Liberty’s Kitchen before the end of the year to support the next class of standouts. You can make a difference in the life of a young person, their family, and their future.

With gratitude,
Chef Amy Mehrtens
